Dean Ellen Aitken of McGill Faculty of Religious Studies lost battle against cancer.
It is with sadness that we inform you that Ellen Aitken, McGill's Dean of the Faculty of Religious
Studies, died early Saturday morning June 14 following a short battle with what turned out to be a very
aggressive form of cancer. Our thoughts are with her family and many friends.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 18.

The Montreal School of Theology is celebrating its 100th anniversary
Celebration on Wednesday September 24, 2014:
- 3.15 - 4.15 p.m.: Open House at the three Colleges: United Theological College,
Presbyterian College and Montreal Diocesan Theological College
(located at 3521, 3495 and 3475 respectively).
- 4.30 p.m.: Celebratory worship service at the Heritage Chapel of Birks Hall,
McGill University Faculty of Religious Studies, 3420 University Street
- 5.30 - 7.30 p.m.: Reception at Birks hall.
The Montreal School of Theology Accreditation by Association of Theological Schools.
The Montreal School of Theology has been an accredited member of the Association of Theological Schools
since 1989. Recently its accreditation was renewed until 2017. Please see this page for more details.
